TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Once you have booked a charter and paid your deposit, we will contact you when weather conditions can be confirmed. A 30% deposit must be paid in full upon initial confirmation and the final balance must be paid in full on day of charter or 3 days prior to the charter’s departure if paying by direct deposit. ( Payment options are available on contact page) We do not offer credit, all charters must be paid for prior to departure, this includes those on invoice.
All clients boaring the MV Regina must complete all details on our passenger manifest prior to departure.
Due to time constraints it is not always possible to wait for late-comers. We ask that all anglers be at the departing boat ramp 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. A courtesy call is greatly appreciated in the event that you are running behind schedule. Please provide a mobile phone number that will be with you on the day of the charter.
Both single bookings and small groups may be used to make up a full charter, unless the full boat charter cost has been paid. Each trip is made up of a minimum of 6 clients for snapper and 4 for game fishing. Matthew Hunt Fishing Services has the right to reschedule any trip if numbers are low. All clients will be fully refunded if their trip is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled.
If the charter is cut short for bad weather, medical emergency or vessel complications, the cost will be reduced to an equivalent hour rate, so you will only pay for time spent on the water. All charters are to be paid in full BEFORE departure. Any necessary adjustments will be made after return to Port.
At least 7 days notice must be given if a cancellation is made for a single booking or minimum of 14 days for a group booking. A cancellation given outside this time line will forfeit all deposit paid. A no show on the day of departure will result in forfeit of all moneys paid. In the event the Skipper cancels a charter for any reason, all clients will be advised at the earliest possible time and the charter will be rescheduled to a later date. If for any reason reschedule can’t be done, a full refund will be given of money already paid. All trips are subject to weather conditions. If charter is to be cancelled due to weather we will contact you as early as possible. Although we watch the weather reports consistently, they are not always 100% correct and weather conditions can change rapidly. Quite often our skipper receives reports of fish biting well at a particular location a bit further a field than the bays or a productive night bite elsewhere. When this occurs departure times and trip duration may vary to suit the targeted species.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months, unless previously arranged and extension given. If voucher has not been fullfilled within 12 months please contact Matthew Hunt Fishing Services before time lapses. It may be possible to transfer voucher for another charter, extra costs may be charged re: price change in charter, or upgrade to different charter service. If a client wishes to upgrade from Bay Charter to Game/Open Water Charter, this can be done providing it is discussed at time of booking and any difference in cost paid. Gift Vouchers are non refundable.
Matthew Hunt Fishing Services keeps all client details received, confidential and only uses these details for business purposes. In the event of a medical emergency or credit enquiries, client details may be passed on to any significant professional. Any photo’s or video taken by Matthew Hunt Fishing Services during charter may be used for promotional material. As a general rule we do not allow children under the age of 12 on Bay Charters (unless previously discussed with the Skipper prior to charter), and children under the age of 16 on Open Water Charters as they are considered a high risk in the event of an emergency. If you wish to bring your child along and they fit into these catagories, please discuss with Matthew Hunt Fishing Services.
The Skipper has the right to terminate any charter if he feels client safety is in jeopardy. Abusive behaviour, intoxication, drug use and illegal activities of any sort will not be tolerated. Any serious incidents that occur will be reported to police and strictly no refunds given if trip is cancelled due to unruly behaviour. Clients are asked to inform Matthew Hunt Fishing Services of any pre – existing medical conditions prior to depature of charter. No responsibility will be taken for any incidents occuring from undisclosed conditions. Matthew Hunt Fishing Services has the right to refuse any booking that is deemed to be of an additional high risk without prejudice. No GPS devices are allowed on boat and Skipper has right to confiscate item until end of charter or terminate charter at full cost to clients.
All Clients that board the MV Regina must carry a current Victorian Fishing Licence unless they are exempt. Licences cannot be purchased on board and must be purchased before Charter departure. Fishing licences can be purchased online,at DPI website and at most bait and tackle shops.
ITEMS BROUGHT ON BOARD
Although all care will be taken by the crew of Matthew Hunt Fishing Services, no responsibility is taken for personal items brought on board the MV Regina. Make sure all personal items are placed in waterproof packaging. Any personal fishing gear brought on board are done so at owners risk of damage or loss overboard. Alcohol is allowed on board but must be discussed with the Skipper prior to departure. The Skipper reserves the right to cancel charter if intoxicated clients become an issue. Keep in mind that space is at a premium so only bring along what is necessary for the charter. Items such as esky’s for transporting the fish home can remain in client vehicles until after charter.
Alcohol is permitted on MV Regina, however only in cans as glass is prohibited. A Maximum of 3 cans allowed per client, and unruly behaviour that poses any safety threat will result in return to shore at full cost to clients.
